Michael Patrick Kelly live at the Loreley or how music can heal

Show notes

The Day We Remembered Why We Do This

This week, I’m sharing one of the most emotional experiences we’ve ever had with the Traces School Project.
Together with children and families from the Association for Children with Cancer Mainz, we were invited to be guests at Michael Patrick Kelly’s Loreley concert. What happened that day was far more than a concert experience.
It was watching children smile without fear. It was seeing tears of joy replace tears of worry. It was witnessing hope, connection, kindness, and the power of making someone feel seen.
In this episode, I take you behind the scenes of this unforgettable day, share the stories that touched my heart, and reflect on why moments like these make every challenge, every sleepless night, and every obstacle worth it.
Some memories stay with us forever. This is one of them.

“Where is life most beautiful? Among children.”

00:00:02: Welcome to our new episode of our podcast Trace's Kinder-Helping Kinder and today we are gonna talk about Our really good experience at Glory

00:00:13: Live And yeah, I am going to let the girls talk about it.

00:00:20: So on Saturday the weather was really warm and we were feeling really, really hot.

00:00:27: And when I saw the queue there my jaw dropped!

00:00:30: I was like oh my god i'm done now!

00:00:33: And everyone was red putting sunscreen on them but they are still red...I don't know how to explain what some people know.

00:00:42: Their skin was just

00:00:43: like burned.

00:00:44: You know why?

00:00:44: Because normally, German people and European have very white skin And this is when you're standing too much in the light... ...you get a red tan.

00:00:55: It's like burn, it's sunburn.

00:00:59: This is what many people had with their red skin.

00:01:04: And the thing is, you know they said that it will be a cold day and rainy day.

00:01:09: Nobody actually expected there to be so

00:01:12: hot!

00:01:13: It was exactly the other way around on Sunday when it was a little bit cloudy not that warm... ...and Sunday was the hottest day.

00:01:24: It's

00:01:25: opposite.

00:01:26: Exactly I think they mixed the days.

00:01:29: So your job draw?

00:01:32: Why?!

00:01:34: it was unexpected like i never saw something like this and I was like oh my god now we also need to wait for a long

00:01:43: there.

00:01:46: so the ones that don't know The Lord Alive, its a cliff on the river Rhine where legend says that this mermaid would appear sing with beautiful songs would watch her instead of watching the cliffs in the water and they will die.

00:02:08: And this beautiful spot on the Rhine River, there's an open-air stage so it is very beautiful with like stairs.

00:02:20: So doesn't matter where

00:02:23: you

00:02:23: stay You have a very beautiful view over the stage.

00:02:28: This is a classical concert venue for the Kelly family, Kelly fans.

00:02:37: Kelly everyone that's called Kelly and because people are so crazy they go very early to get a good spot.

00:02:47: And this is why?

00:02:49: yeah Because there some like hills.

00:02:52: The queue was going up the hill through the forest then down again.

00:02:58: And yeah, there are some funny videos also uploaded by Patricia Kelly.

00:03:04: well coming to the venue and see what's like Yeah.

00:03:09: What they always say.

00:03:10: Kelly fans are epic.

00:03:12: I would sometimes say Kelly fans a little bit crazy In a good way but it is not that much fun sitting in the queue during hot weather But its normal.

00:03:27: Yeah, yes.

00:03:30: And okay after that what happened?

00:03:34: After that we met some good people

00:03:37: and Some bad people.

00:03:41: Why do you say good and bad.

00:03:43: yeah because some were like

00:03:45: Who weren't nice to us?

00:03:47: but some are like they were really really nice

00:03:50: to Us.

00:03:51: Mm-hmm Like define why why they were nice on white or not.

00:03:56: so nice

00:03:59: Like.

00:04:00: we went there like, we were four kids with Rebecca

00:04:06: and Four right?

00:04:08: Yeah.

00:04:08: Yeah

00:04:09: for And There was like.

00:04:11: we went to her friend.

00:04:13: Her from backers friend was in the queue like like.

00:04:17: she was not so behind and We when they're.

00:04:21: and she was like he said yeah you can stay and the people behind they said no, you have to go behind.

00:04:29: You can't stay here

00:04:30: like

00:04:31: that.".

00:04:32: But in a really very unfriendly way and it's not at the end of the queue was that far away.

00:04:39: I mean yeah... Not okay we didn't say anything..I understand some point but It is the tone which told us.

00:04:47: so what did?

00:04:49: just greeting my friend from Romania who i haven't seen sometimes.

00:04:55: So we went to the back of the queue, like everyone else.

00:04:59: Of course... Like I said my friend was just a few meters in front so it wasn't as if he came and sat right infront of our entrance But anyway Then we waited in the sun for... I don't know how many hours.

00:05:20: Yeah you say

00:05:24: Yeah, and then we also played the uno And we also play there some games.

00:05:31: We did a small picnic with our friends.

00:05:36: They were like your friends.

00:05:37: yeah The two...yeah

00:05:41: And after that?

00:05:44: After that..we

00:05:45: came back to the queue and tried make bracelets but they

00:05:50: was

00:05:53: you know the bracelet thread, that was not the thread.

00:05:56: That was a wire and we didn't do that.

00:06:00: And then we did make

00:06:01: bracelets.

00:06:02: yeah what kind of bracelets?

00:06:03: What for?

00:06:04: um?

00:06:05: For the kids who are like gonna come on Sunday with us Like for the sick

00:06:13: kids?

00:06:16: Yeah I would like every kid in our project So the ones that are working on a project and we're working for, gets a bracelet with different words written.

00:06:29: We not only have traces but also their names or encouraging words like faith hope courage stuff.

00:06:39: of course in German sometimes also in English depends what letters the girls still have because we bought a lot and a lot of these letters, and with this pearls for the kids.

00:06:54: And yeah what they did all day till at some point I don't know somebody said something...and everyone just started running like crazy toward the entrance.

00:07:09: And it was really funny because my friend was at the toilet for a moment and when she came back there wasn't any queue anymore.

00:07:16: It's just... A sea of people... Yeah, crushing each other not crashing but I mean staying very close to one another.

00:07:26: If you put that we had like thirty five degrees outside which is not comfortable.

00:07:33: Everyone was sweating

00:07:35: The smell and everyone was putting something on their heads because the sun was directly

00:07:43: in his head, you know?

00:07:44: And it's very dangerous.

00:07:46: Yeah Also there were some people who fainted Because It Was Very Hot.

00:07:52: Many People Didn't Have Any Water Anymore.

00:07:56: Yes Its Not A Nice Situation.

00:08:01: When The Wind Comes Everyone Just Go Up Like Wants The Wind Because It Is So Sunny like so hot.

00:08:10: Then at four o'clock we finally got inside and then there was a lady who was saying us that you can't sit here because my husband is sitting here but there was like place, like separate or something like that.

00:08:33: but we couldn't separate because Frau Becker was with us and were kids.

00:08:40: so thats why.

00:08:41: And then she called security.

00:08:45: yes, what did the security

00:08:49: do?

00:08:54: The security said lady just let them sit down.

00:08:59: Yeah, so the security did nothing because this was just absurd.

00:09:03: You know?

00:09:04: Just separating kids from each other and separating kids...separating kids from a person that takes care of them.

00:09:13: I mean This is so absurd!

00:09:16: And it wasn't like she was holding place for ten people there.

00:09:20: It's her husband who was at the toilet I don't know, you know.

00:09:27: on the other hand... On one hand Pettis Michael Petrucchelli is singing Hope and Symphony of Peace You Know?

00:09:36: And half his fans are fighting.

00:09:39: So we heard about really women fighting eachother in their first rows.

00:09:45: We're talking about growing up women.

00:09:48: so It's something that i can understand.

00:09:51: I mean..I can understand teenagers doing it.

00:09:55: I can understand those women, thirty years ago when they were in their teens doing that but i cannot understand women growing up.

00:10:05: we mean many of them also with our own children being something like this.

00:10:09: This is something i could not comprehend.

00:10:12: What do you think about it?

00:10:15: How did you feel while seeing what people are doing?

00:10:21: They should NOT DO THAT!

00:10:27: Not good.

00:10:28: Yeah, because they are like adults and

00:10:30: they should understand Like this shouldn't fight yeah But for many of them?

00:10:37: Yeah I don't know.

00:10:37: probably the moment a step foot on the Lorelai They forget that there are growing ups but their adults And just Being teens again, you know like being a time machine.

00:10:50: You're not in year two thousand and twenty six anymore or suddenly in the year Ninety-Ninety five where the Kelly family first Had to concert at the Lorelai.

00:11:01: so yeah But it's still I mean same their age And I never did something Like this.

00:11:10: i had Never Did Something Like This when I was A teenager.

00:11:13: So uh...This Is Something I Cannot Comprehend.

00:11:16: But yeah, this is why we are different.

00:11:19: I think it would be boring if every one of us was the same but still... Yeah, I know a lot people that didn't come next day because of these whole stress on Saturday and they said i'm not going to do this again on Sunday.

00:11:38: so just didn't came which actually is sad cause they paid for ticket.

00:11:44: Everyone hopes to have a nice day, a nice concert meeting friends.

00:11:51: and Yeah some of the people at the end of today they just had a lot of stress And maybe also fist in their face or something.

00:11:58: I mean it's really It's not normal!

00:12:02: We were supposed Just go there enjoy the music and atmosphere Not too much stress.

00:12:13: People went there to enjoy the experience and get really good experiences from other people.

00:12:21: Talked with them, made friends.

00:12:24: but some people are there who don't

00:12:28: want this.

00:12:30: I think in German it's called Tunalblick.

00:12:33: so you just see light at the end of a tunnel far in the front of the stage as possible.

00:12:45: And yeah, they forget where are who there and what you're doing is just okay.

00:12:51: I need to go when it's a good way to be in front and Lorela is really on occasion we actually doesn't matter why you sit.

00:12:59: You have beautiful view from all over The stairs because of these stairs, but yeah Of course if some people are at four o'clock in the morning there even though it was told that is forbidden to be there before ten a.m.. Of course they want to be in front.

00:13:17: But I mean you know life should be life.

00:13:22: It's so precious.

00:13:23: and this how hours of our lives get lost.

00:13:27: for what?

00:13:28: at the end of that day I mean you can enjoy the concert if you go only at twelve o'clock or three o' clock and then just have to camp three days before.

00:13:38: but yeah this is how some people do okay.

00:13:47: so after

00:13:47: that

00:13:50: stress with security no stress for us.

00:13:54: Of course, the security would not come interview children.

00:14:01: So, then the concert started.

00:14:05: How was it for you?

00:14:11: It felt

00:14:21: really nice Like I enjoyed it a lot and liked really, really much.

00:14:29: Yeah also everyone was clapping singing together.

00:14:35: It just gives goosebumps you

00:14:37: know?

00:14:39: And see this only singer having like twenty thousand people doing everything he wants is like yeah clap your hands now right no left no boys no girls.

00:14:54: Yeah, I always admire how he has the public under his spell and everyone is doing what he says.

00:15:00: Like a lot

00:15:02: of people

00:15:03: from other countries.

00:15:05: They came for like some people came to every concert From like...I don't know.

00:15:10: How many kilometers away?

00:15:12: So my famous friends are from Romania which pay dimensions everyday And they got their presents this day because Yeah, he said okay.

00:15:25: You guys are always here so you can choose something from a merchandise.

00:15:33: But how was this concert in comparison to the concert at Fest Halle in Frankfurt?

00:15:43: In Fest Hallé there were like seats.

00:15:46: everyone could come ten minutes before

00:15:49: the

00:15:49: concert and then just sit down.

00:15:54: it was With like seats.

00:15:56: you'll have to book a ticket with the seat.

00:15:59: where do want

00:16:00: to sit?

00:16:00: Like that, yeah.

00:16:03: And from the atmosphere in the fans.

00:16:06: The music

00:16:08: So the atmosphere at Lorelei.

00:16:12: it was open air and it was really sunny.

00:16:21: so, It's a bit warm.

00:16:22: but then in the evening is better.

00:16:25: And in the first hale we don't feel hotness or cold.

00:16:32: So there are normal

00:16:35: atmospheres.

00:16:36: I think also at some point of HALA is very hot because all people... Being together there and singing and sweating together, but I think also yeah open airs always have something magical.

00:16:50: Yeah.

00:16:51: So from the atmosphere what did you like better?

00:16:55: The first hollow or the Lorelei.

00:16:58: I Think the

00:16:59: lorelei because i Also liked to view the sky was like it's AI But It wasn't art mm-hmm Like the planes going good view And we also saw the sunset, mountains and concerts on a mountain.

00:17:19: This is why this location so beloved because it's really special location in river Rhine valley.

00:17:28: Yeah, we had a really beautiful sunset.

00:17:30: It was so beautiful clouds and colors!

00:17:35: And there's also a heart.

00:17:36: in the clouds You can see the castle, the beauty of nature.

00:17:47: What about music?

00:17:51: It was good I loved it.

00:17:54: He sang many songs...and i like them.

00:17:59: Yeah, me

00:18:00: too.

00:18:01: So you want to go another concert?

00:18:03: Yes

00:18:03: of course Don't get bored.

00:18:07: No never!

00:18:09: Ofcourse it's a concert.

00:18:11: I will not get

00:18:12: bored...I like songs.

00:18:15: You saw three concerts now and none was similar.

00:18:20: And also I liked that.

00:18:22: the concert on Sunday was not a repetition of the concert.

00:18:25: On Saturdays he sang different songs and also unplugged, yeah!

00:18:31: The atmosphere is just great.

00:18:33: Also...I don't think i have been to a Matine Concerto now.

00:18:39: So in the afternoon all concerts were in the evening.

00:18:44: This one's special And it was also special because being in the afternoon, there were a lot of people with children and smaller children.

00:18:55: We had some children with us.

00:18:57: Can you tell something about this?

00:19:01: We have kids

00:19:04: who are sick but they really enjoyed the concert.

00:19:09: They were dancing so sweetly They were clapping, singing together and yeah.

00:19:19: And they are happy!

00:19:22: Yeah so we had some children from the Farine for Crab's Cranker Kinder in Mainz... ...and they were really really happy that they were invited.

00:19:32: So there was Pettie's guests.

00:19:36: It is very special because we have a boy or girl that stole everyone's heart, they danced all the concerts and people

00:19:51: around us

00:19:52: were just fascinated.

00:19:54: And they stole Patti show.

00:19:56: I mean really everybody was looking at them not on stage sorry Patti And I still keep on getting videos and photos from people with them.

00:20:09: So, so happy that they could enjoy the concerts all their kids and also their moms.

00:20:16: Yes!

00:20:16: They were really happy like they enjoyed it

00:20:20: a lot.

00:20:23: One more question about Saturday.

00:20:26: what was your special moment of Saturday or what impressed you most?

00:20:33: from this concert.

00:20:36: So when I saw like Patricia and Paddy so they were singing, And When They Were Singing then Patricia started crying!

00:20:47: It felt really touched.

00:20:50: it was really emotional..and i

00:20:53: was also

00:20:54: happy when look at them Like they were sing together...And Also their older sister.

00:21:00: So it Was Really Touched You

00:21:03: Know.

00:21:06: So was it a touching moment for you as well?

00:21:08: Because I know, for Kelly fans It wasn't very touching moment because the first time after fourteen or fifteen years that they sang together again.

00:21:18: And yeah... The wish of every fan to see them singing again.

00:21:23: so this is why For us it's emotional but at some point are you a Kelly fan right now?

00:21:31: I think yes!

00:21:33: Now we are!

00:21:34: What about

00:21:35: you?

00:21:37: Okay, I'm good.

00:21:37: Then i did a good job.

00:21:39: next generation No but uh...I mean the girls here.

00:21:43: they met Angelo They meet Patricia and Peddy so half of the Kelly family more or less A quarter of The Kelly Family.

00:21:51: So um yeah it's- I think It was emotional for everyone.

00:21:55: Yeah..it was For me, it was very special because they sang Calling Heaven.

00:22:01: And you know what that song means to me?

00:22:03: Because this is the song I used to listen when i was fourteen years old and sick with cancer... ...and because the song is written from a perspective of a cancer-sick person who's waiting for his death!

00:22:18: As a fourteen year old, I was really terrified about dying.. ..I don't know just listening to this song.

00:22:26: um yeah it helped me work with my anxiety.

00:22:32: so i was not afraid anymore, I don't know.

00:22:34: It just suited me, it calmed me down.

00:22:37: and they have never played this song live as far as I remember also...I haven't seen any videos of them singing it live because it is a very emotional song And definitely it hadn't been played for the last thirty years, life.

00:22:55: So seeing them first sing together and singing that song when they started was like wow!

00:23:03: It's so emotional.

00:23:04: and then you know Pettis said trigger warning... very emotive and she cries often when she's really touched.

00:23:15: So I was waiting for the moment, She will start crying And she eventually did it.

00:23:20: It was very touching seeing how her brother took her into his arms and cried Really so human!

00:23:31: Real!

00:23:32: No show no retouching director who is doing this?

00:23:39: Pure human feelings.

00:23:41: and for me it was very, very emotional.

00:23:44: The song seeing them together again on the stage after so long It was really

00:23:50: boy.

00:23:53: So I think

00:23:55: like a special moment

00:23:56: for you On Saturday.

00:23:58: Oh definitely Yes And For You

00:24:04: Yeah, of course for me

00:24:07: also.

00:24:08: But it was a different kind of moment For us as well because relating to that song It's like we're doing this project for sick kids.

00:24:19: and actually That Song was the song that started everything like thirty two years ago.

00:24:24: And they are singing that song.

00:24:32: What about the rest?

00:24:37: So when the concert was over or some other impressions, what about the moment they all three... so Kathy, Patricia and Petty sang together.

00:24:50: You had a small feeling about Kelly's family.

00:24:53: just a small thing.

00:24:55: Yeah!

00:24:55: For me it wasn't expected because I didn't know that we would sing together And it was unexpected.

00:25:03: and I also really happy because this is my first time like watching them live singing together.

00:25:11: Yeah, Also for

00:25:12: me

00:25:13: they were singing together and It's the first time seeing all of us sing together.

00:25:19: I met Patricia but i have never met their older sister

00:25:25: Katie.

00:25:26: And yeah... Yeah!

00:25:27: This our

00:25:27: first time to see their older sisters.

00:25:31: Yes, exactly and believe me all for the fans.

00:25:35: They are just a dream.

00:25:37: seeing yeah three counties on this stage together is just wow.

00:25:41: And Yeah it's just so much.

00:25:44: and you know Pettie said after After the concert that he really enjoyed.

00:25:52: And yeah, he said it's a blood collect.

00:25:55: that means you know like for an animal when he tastes this blood That he wants more.

00:26:00: so who knows?

00:26:01: Yeah.

00:26:01: He also said Who knows where this may lead and of course everyone hopes are very high right now thing.

00:26:10: This is why they're so special because there are siblings and no blood thicker than water It doesn't matter.

00:26:19: Patricia had a nice post, couple of days ago about Lorelai and she said something like we don't know which is the power that keeps on bringing us together?

00:26:32: Is it The Voice Of Blood or our mom who many years before she died said keep on singing her last words?

00:26:40: Or is it The Fence or God That Keeps On Bringing Us Together?

00:26:45: But yeah, you can see that magic and this is why so many people love them.

00:26:53: because there's something... You cannot really explain logically but you feel it.

00:26:58: And I think you also felt with all those people.

00:27:03: they are at the Lorelai The people in front of stage.

00:27:09: Yeah so okay let's go to sunday.

00:27:17: how was the sunday

00:27:21: on sunday?

00:27:23: it was special because uh we didn't need to wait for long and the weather was nice.

00:27:31: It wasn't that warm like saturday, And We were VIPs On Sunday.

00:27:39: Yeah...and we're a VIP guest..And That Was A Good Experience!

00:27:48: project.

00:27:49: and to make the sick kids happy.

00:27:55: Yeah, so it was so lovely from Patty too To invite us together with our kids And I didn't know that we were going to get the VIP Prayslots.

00:28:10: It's really so kind.

00:28:14: thank you again on this opportunity and yeah it was a very interesting experience for all of us even though we actually didn't use the VIP.

00:28:25: We just went upstairs to that tower where there's that VIP part.

00:28:31: but we came back because it was too far away, haha!

00:28:35: And um... Yeah.. It was special because we had these children with of those who we are actually working for and doing all this, for them.

00:28:51: And it was very nice to have them there also that boy and girl danced all the time and melted everyone's hearts.

00:29:06: Also they're mums.

00:29:07: so It is very special you know, on the one hand I was looking at them and i was seeing me as a sick kid uh thirty years ago.

00:29:20: And on the other side I was thinking okay now im growing up ,now Im the teacher .

00:29:26: Now Im the project leader.

00:29:27: that's making this possible for them of course with the help of Paddy because without him it wouldn't be possible.

00:29:34: but um..I only felt how do they say?

00:29:43: So overwhelmed, so it's just I'm...so grateful.

00:29:48: Grateful for everything that was possible to do and yes For the kids were also very special.

00:29:58: their moms as well can imagine.

00:30:02: Moms have a lot of worries because these kids with treatment.

00:30:10: They were just able to forget about this for a couple of hours and I am really, really happy that it was possible For them to leave this experience.

00:30:21: And yeah

00:30:24: Yeah It's like when we think

00:30:28: about it is really

00:30:29: emotional.

00:30:33: We also felt very happy When they saw the kids.

00:30:36: They were like they forget about their sickness and into the concert, enjoying it.

00:30:50: I was really

00:30:50: happy when i saw them.

00:30:52: And what's your most touching moment with kids?

00:30:57: What do you think?

00:31:00: The most touching is when we met Paddy...the girl Like she was, She just hugged him and...she was emotional.

00:31:15: And..

00:31:16: Yeah!

00:31:16: She started crying.

00:31:17: I wouldn't let Paddy go.

00:31:20: And she is very sweet.

00:31:23: Just seeing her joy, Her tears of joys like yeah we do good We write what we do and.. And Paddy kissed on her head.

00:31:36: yeah she her mom told me a couple of like two or three days ago that she refuses to wash her hair because pedi had kissed her on the head.

00:31:47: so she refuses too to wash our hairs in sunday.

00:31:51: and i remember myself in the nineties when uh pedi gave me the hand at one point I refused to wash my hands for a couple Pure soul of a child.

00:32:05: Yeah, she's ten years old.

00:32:08: She hasn't had an easy life till now but for her it was possible that at least For some moments she could forget about everything and just enjoy being there with her idol.

00:32:21: And all she wanted to see is Michael Patrick Kelly.

00:32:30: And yeah, I didn't tell her until really the concert was over that we will actually meet him.

00:32:39: and just to see that joy in a child's eyes is really nothing can compare it.

00:32:48: Seeing a child at age ten years old crying of joy... I think it's very sad because you know when you do a lot of good stuff, You have people that see.

00:33:03: we have a lot.

00:33:04: Of people knowing about our project now which We are very very grateful and A lot of people supporting us.

00:33:12: so the tickets for Saturday and Sunday some of them were gifts from fans very, very grateful and happy to receive them.

00:33:25: So we have a lot of support from the Kelly Fence community not only for them.

00:33:30: so thank you everyone again.

00:33:33: but with this kind of fame I mean our project is known.

00:33:39: You also have FlipSide where people who are jealous I mean, on the other hand i can understand okay because everyone wants to go backstage and every one goes to meet the artist.

00:33:58: They want us to make something clear is that we didn't go there as fans yeah?

00:34:07: We went there because this project for The Sick Kids Yeah, everyone involved in this just wanted to make them feel better at least for a few hours and This is all about.

00:34:27: it's not about being a fan And being able to meet the artist again.

00:34:31: Again but there's just about offering some special moments To those kids that had enough in their lives what they are short life till now.

00:34:43: They have so much bird as such heavy burden to carry.

00:34:48: So I really think the people that are jealous of these kids and invite, this kid's and us they should take a very deep look inside them and see what is wrong there because like i said you cannot be jealous Have a way way too much burden to carry for their ages.

00:35:15: Yes, and yeah this is what it's all about.

00:35:19: you know And Thank You A lot For all your support again for the ones that Support us?

00:35:27: And I got so many nice messages after That of people who want To help People Who would like to Help and Don't Know

00:35:32: how

00:35:33: i have to think About All Your offers and How We could really Help Us And because everything we do is just on a free basis, so in our free time We don't have any money involved in this.

00:35:48: This is the main idea Because children don't Have money to donate and if you need To buy something it's always from my own pocket.

00:35:56: So when people ask me where they can donate I say well Just look for For Ryan so for the club that takes care of these kids and for their university clinic.

00:36:10: And So thanks a lot again, and for the ones that envy us are jealous.

00:36:16: Of Us is just Think Again be happy That you Are Healthy.

00:36:22: Be Happy That Yeah You Are Able to Visit The Concerts and you don't need that Backstage Meeting.

00:36:31: Who Is Actually Thought for people that really need it.

00:36:37: I mean just to forget about their way too heavy burden they are

00:36:42: carrying.

00:36:43: so thank

00:36:49: you.

00:36:54: Some people also

00:36:55: talk bad about this project and but we don't care about them because We know,we are

00:37:00: doing the right thing.

00:37:02: And..We're doing it for kids.

00:37:08: Thanks for your support.

00:37:10: Thanks a lot!

00:37:12: Like the kids... We just want the kids to be happy.

00:37:21: Not going to meet him as like fans.

00:37:23: We are just there for a project and make the kids happy.

00:37:28: So, Just think about that thing before commenting Like hateful

00:37:33: comments You know?

00:37:35: And also you don't have to forget these are kids teenagers.

00:37:41: The kids in this project is between ten and fifteen years old.

00:37:46: What do most of them do?

00:37:47: So I mean now not the sick kids, but those kids that work on their project really worked.

00:37:52: You know all of these other kids go home after school and they start scrolling on their iPhones or smartphones, scrolling on tiktok and instagram or whatever, snapchat.

00:38:03: and what are you using?

00:38:05: I don't know... YouTube!

00:38:08: Yeah, and You can or play PlayStation on Xbox Or how they are all called you know.

00:38:15: And these kids go home.

00:38:17: They think about what we do next to make this kid happy?

00:38:22: And then write a story which they record as an hour with your book for kids or their right song.

00:38:29: so We have kids that have written songs for the sick kids.

00:38:32: yeah This is why the project was called children helping Children kinder half and kinder because we really, yeah everything they do is just them.

00:38:42: We also did record some videos.

00:38:47: maybe we should do that again.

00:38:50: it was fun right?

00:38:52: Yes!

00:38:52: It's very

00:38:53: fun to record funny or hard videos.

00:38:58: Yeah when Ertel was here he filmed how were filming the video.

00:39:05: And I mean, we also have children that made videos for the sick kids with puppets and a whole direction thing.

00:39:15: Alone at work they made, for instance, a castle out of paper and painted the clouds then cutting and editing everything... They worked days on their video sick kids happy to make them forget about their situation just for a few minutes.

00:39:41: So believe me, these kids work a lot and this is why yeah we are at the point where we are... And This Is Why Probably The Project Gets Disresonance.

00:39:53: Because Yeah Everything We Do It's From Our Hearts And We Are Not Looking For Something Else.

00:40:01: We're Just Looking to make the kids happy.

00:40:04: And like I said, these kids when they are home instead of scrolling and losing their time on different devices They're doing something for the kids.

00:40:14: This is why i just say chapeau you know what that means?

00:40:18: It's like hood up.

00:40:19: so... Like men used do before take out their hats and do it.

00:40:28: So this was Chapeaux in French.

00:40:32: So yeah, it's your time.

00:40:35: And I think you're investing in something very beautiful and Think you have a lot much A lot more empathy than many people outside there.

00:40:47: so just congratulations.

00:40:49: Thank You for going this road with me.

00:40:55: We know that the sick kids and family is now to appreciate.

00:41:01: So how was the meeting with their moms?

00:41:05: That was good.

00:41:06: They were all really nice and yeah, they are also really sweet.

00:41:18: And when we knew that this project for their kids and they saw them dancing

00:41:28: I think it's a special Moment also for the moms.

00:41:33: Yeah, this is just could forget four three hours Four hours that during the concert I just couldn't forget about their worries and I looked at them watch them dancing And really enjoying themselves.

00:41:45: so i'm happy That we could offer them these moment.

00:41:51: all of them the kids they're mom.

00:41:52: So thank you so much for the support.

00:41:55: You know who helped us?

00:41:59: Yeah, it's really... I think we gave these people moments they will never forget.

00:42:06: And i think also for you working on this!

00:42:12: It is very nice.

00:42:14: and yeah..

00:42:16: We want more improvement

00:42:19: in ourselves sickness and like.

00:42:30: yeah because during this project I

00:42:33: learned that

00:42:34: how valuable our life is.

00:42:36: Like some people are healthy, they want to die but some So I learned like how valuable our life is and we shouldn't waste

00:42:58: it.

00:42:59: Oh yeah, this very nicely said It's actually what i wanted to show you.

00:43:04: And then of course on the good side because I had to learn it On my own skin mean when You are fourteen years old?

00:43:12: Then you get a cancer diagnosis.

00:43:15: I mean Like twenty eight Years ago.

00:43:17: When you got that diagnosis you were like eighty percent dead You know because the treatment was not that good as it is today.

00:43:25: So, today thanks God I wrote...I read that.

00:43:29: so the doctors from the uni clinic minds told me That's like eighty percent of their kids are getting better.

00:43:37: They're getting healthy again.

00:43:41: But yeah when i was fourteen years old When you got that, it was more or less a death sentence.

00:43:47: So yeah I told you about my best friend who died.

00:43:52: so um It was the lesson i learned hard.

00:43:55: this is why I don't stress myself too much today because I know We don't have to take life for granted Because it can end in a second In a split of a second and You-you Can Have A Car Accident Your Dead In A Second Something Can Fall On Your Head Your Dead One One Second.

00:44:15: And of course when you have this kind of illness, yeah You know you have a certain amount of time to live But nevertheless we don't need that.

00:44:24: Y'know our own birth it's the death certificate.

00:44:28: Yeah We will all die at some point.

00:44:31: So just very nice said Don't waste it.

00:44:37: It's really sad, because we have people who kill themselves and other people that are sick.

00:44:43: And would love to live more.

00:44:47: but I think every one of us has a story.

00:44:50: everyone has a burden to carry.

00:44:52: We don't know what every person has lived.

00:44:58: What i learned in my life is also do not judge people Because you will never ever actually what's behind them, so what story do they have?

00:45:09: What happened to them?

00:45:11: also for instance yeah if you see a drunk person on the street don't judge that person because arrived at that specific moment.

00:45:30: So this is what I learned, so don't judge people because you have no idea of what they've been going through or are still going through.

00:45:43: and i think it's also something to teach my students these social skills.

00:45:50: So it's not just about German or English, Or whatever we teach.

00:45:54: It is the social skins because at end of day We are people and like I said i saw very nice meme these days.

00:46:05: Teachers work with best material Of all time.

00:46:12: With our future The children are our future.

00:46:18: I'm really happy that i have the chance to modulate them a little bit and help become good people, you know?

00:46:27: Help then becomes people who want to help other people.

00:46:30: And I hope I did this... Yeah of course!

00:46:35: You did it!

00:46:38: I mean just by seeing how bad others kids are not just the sick kids, but also the kids that are very poor or have different problems like mobbing.

00:46:55: Also just to learn we're blessed and You know, I always used...I always say when friends ask me how are you?

00:47:08: I'm normal.

00:47:09: Because i am also thinking that there is people who have much worse than me in this situation and think about the people in war Without houses or under one for their lives.

00:47:21: Yeah, the people that lost everything in one second Or people they don't have a leg an arm yeah People that are sick now They haven't.

00:47:31: yeah Death disease or something down at the other hand normal because I'm sure there always be people That are much better than me.

00:47:43: So this is why I say am normal but and also normal because yeah, i'm healthy.

00:47:48: I have a roof on my head.

00:47:49: over My head we are thanks God We're not in zone where there's war Where?

00:47:55: There's danger lingering on each street of the corner.

00:47:59: so Yeah just be thankful for The blessings you Have In Your Life.

00:48:07: And Also And I wanted to say my special moment from Sunday was so not only the little girl hugging Patty and crying of joy, but also the moment when Patty prayed with

00:48:24: us.

00:48:25: Yes!

00:48:30: It really emotional.

00:48:33: we felt healing

00:48:35: inside.

00:48:36: like he said let's pray.

00:48:40: And it was really unexpected.

00:48:43: I don't know how to say that in words because you know, It's like emotions and i...I Don't Know How To Explain That

00:48:49: All.

00:48:50: So This Is Why You Are Very Emotional Than Me Too.

00:48:54: We Were The Two Emotions.

00:48:56: Maybe You Can Say A Little Bit What Happened Actually For The Ones That Haven'T Seen In Famous Picture?

00:49:03: Oh Yeah!

00:49:05: So then Pedi said to us like let's pray for Nikita and we started praying for him.

00:49:12: And Prabhakar started crying, she was really emotional.

00:49:19: so

00:49:20: I can feel her how she felt.

00:49:25: She started crying as well.

00:49:34: Peddy was hugging us, so he was...Sukman on one side and I wasn't the other side.

00:49:41: And Naftip was next to me.

00:49:43: then was Alviya.

00:49:46: He said some very nice words in prayer The moment we started with our father.

00:49:52: you can see that he has been a monk for six years.

00:49:54: So it's just too much.

00:49:58: It is such an emotional roller coaster all time arranging with the concerts and everything, at some point it was just too much.

00:50:12: I think it's his brother John that once said that tears are diamonds of

00:50:20: soul.

00:50:24: Tears aren't always an evil like Tolkien says in The

00:50:28: Lord Of The Rings

00:50:32: You know, the reason I posted that picture was just... So i thought very well because posting it.

00:50:38: Because I was in a very vulnerable moment but The thought behind posting It Was Just That also considering our project is not only for the sick kids But Also For the Kids that are suffering from depression and moming And so forth is just that it's okay to be vulnerable sometimes.

00:50:59: It's ok to be sad, sometimes...it's OK to cry some times and its also ok too ask for help if you need it!

00:51:07: Its Ok

00:51:08: to cry

00:51:09: on a friend's shoulder.

00:51:11: I mean we are human beings..we're not made of stone.

00:51:16: so its ok at some point to just

00:51:18: cry.

00:51:20: only this crying is healing.

00:51:24: Also, this crying as a part of the group.

00:51:27: So what happened to us?

00:51:28: Yeah

00:51:28: it was the

00:51:29: prayer and then yeah, Navdeep and me started crying.

00:51:37: It was really healing because its all emotions.

00:51:40: so I think Paddy helped give us

00:51:43: closure

00:51:45: with his

00:51:46: prayer.

00:51:47: This is where we can see how empathic he is and how he really feels the people.

00:51:53: And yeah, praying for a teenager that we actually never met but he knew How much?

00:52:02: He meant it to us and he saw that We are still in shock after this.

00:52:08: so...he did The best thing can you!

00:52:11: And he did very good I think.

00:52:14: This why we cried because It worked.

00:52:17: Yes..it worked Yeah, so let the pain remember that I was crying and he's telling me just to let it all out.

00:52:26: So yeah... That's it!

00:52:28: It is okay to cry or be vulnerable?

00:52:33: To show weakness every now-and then.

00:52:38: The whole time i was so strong You know, I didn't cry when Patricia cried.

00:52:46: Also it was the break of starting crying but i did and... And I DIDN'T CRIE THE WHOLE WEEK!

00:52:52: But at that point It's just okay now..I have been strong long enough.

00:52:58: Now I can be weak and vulnerable and let go.

00:53:05: So yeah this is why I posted a picture For I don't know for likes or it's just that picture is very fitting to our project.

00:53:14: Yes,

00:53:16: yes.

00:53:18: It shows the emotion You know?

00:53:21: Its not scripted its not a drama Or something..its just emotions.

00:53:27: Yeah!

00:53:27: Its natural like everything we are doing.

00:53:30: Everything Is Natural.

00:53:33: We dont have a script for anything.

00:53:35: i mean when were Writing an audiobook, of course.

00:53:40: We have the script for that but we don't have a script for the podcast.

00:53:44: So I mean you know okay today?

00:53:46: We are talking about this topic or that topic But we don' t have any script it's just natural.

00:53:52: Yeah mostly is just...we make in one take.

00:53:54: so no editing and nothing.

00:53:58: And yeah i think this why when went backstage with those kids and the

00:54:05: mamas

00:54:05: who would have never ever thought that Petty will pray with us.

00:54:10: So it was very, very emotional And we are very thankful for.

00:54:15: grateful

00:54:16: for his

00:54:17: gesture is really meant

00:54:18: so much to

00:54:19: us.

00:54:21: Yeah this is... The reason I posted a picture yeah?

00:54:24: It's also for Rebecca can be very vulnerable.

00:54:27: You know most human being and even your life made me be tough, that even tough people can cry and should cry because the more you keep in yourself at some point it makes us sick.

00:54:45: Yes what I have one more question.

00:54:48: we will talk about this topic in another episode.

00:54:59: After all you have seen this days in the Lorelai and the meetings we had.

00:55:05: So I think of course it can heal us because sometimes The music is like, You know?

00:55:12: It's fitting with our situation.

00:55:15: so i think yeah..it Can Heal Us.

00:55:18: And I Think it Can heal

00:55:21: Us too

00:55:21: Because You Know Sometimes the words In This Song Its So Meaningful and it is sometimes

00:55:29: helpful like the songs, you can hope.

00:55:40: I don't know if music heals

00:55:45: but i am very

00:55:46: sure that it helps healing.

00:55:49: so yeah just last night someone or girl wrote me Something like Frau Baker, thank you

00:56:02: for

00:56:03: showing me how to heal myself.

00:56:07: Because it was about... Yeah this girl

00:56:10: has

00:56:11: suffered from depression and she discovered a specific song from Paditz's Blurry Eyes And said that she is listening on repeat now

00:56:24: and helps

00:56:25: her because she understands that it's like those words are for her.

00:56:31: She

00:56:31: wrote,

00:56:32: thank you for

00:56:32: helping me or teaching how to heal myself!

00:56:37: That meant a lot to me.

00:56:38: I mean what we're

00:56:41: doing is good

00:56:44: For these situations.

00:56:45: yes music

00:56:46: helps

00:56:47: definitely.

00:56:49: It was the help of course who helped me survive when I was a cancer sick kid and I was mopped because, I was bullied.

00:56:58: Because i didn't have any hair from the chemotherapy.

00:57:01: And you know it's just same.

00:57:04: some people every one of us copes in different way When we struggle with different problems.

00:57:13: Some adults start drinking alcohol they become alcoholics, some take drugs.

00:57:21: You know every one of us has a way of coping.

00:57:24: I know people who became professional sportsmen you know because that was their way of coping with their issues.
